Mo Farah to Race on the Track in Birmingham After World ChampionshipsPublished by
One Last Home Track Race for Mo Farah in BirminghamBy Adam Kopet, DyeStat Editor The IAAF reports that Mo Farah will race once more in Britain after the IAAF World Outdoor Championships next month in London. Farah is competing in his final year on the track before he moves permanently to the roads, focusing on the marathon, next year. After doubling in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters at the World Championships, Farah will race at the Muller Grand Prix Birmingham, the 12th stop of the Diamond League series. At this time it has not been determined which event Farah will compete in. At this time there are no scheduled men's events longer than 1,500 meters, but a longer event would likely be added to accommodate Farah if he desired. Farah holds British records at 1,500, 3,000, 5,000 and 10,000 meters. |
